   Career simply means  a chosen discipline  or area  of specialization in a particular field. It is expedient that you know what you want to become before applying for any course in the University or higher Institution of learning. Examples of career are Medicine, Pharmacy, Law,  Teaching, Administration / Human resources management among others. No man was created to do everything. The reason why career is specified is to ensure professionalism. Efficiency and effectiveness comes from specialization and concentration of careers. Potential on the other hand means Hidden or dormant abilities, un-utilized power, unwrapped gifts, untapped or uncultivated strength, unfulfilled or locked up dreams, undeveloped talents. But to mention a few. Thus to excel in any  career, it should be in line with your God given potentials, talents and passion. Anybody that has ever excelled in any career had the required potentials, passion, and undiluted interest. Career and Potential Development is therefore the continuous effort deposited to bring out the best from an individual. There is a place of training, studying / research and hard work in career development however, development comes in stages and skipping a stage  will lead to delay.

7. Always take stock or appraise yourself.
