Hints to Parents:
1. Do not over-react to their weird displays.
2. Don't ask too many questions.
3. Talk to them as you would an adult.
4. Give them space. Your 'prying eyes' can be much disgusting and embarrassing.
5. Never insult your teenager in front of others.
6. Do not be rigid; it does not work.
7. Don't be judgmental.
8. Put yourself in their shoes by recollecting your teen years.
9. Never sermonise.
10. Behave with them as you would have them behave with you.
11. Be gentle yet firm.
 12. Learn to forgive and bury their offences.Don't keep referring to past offences.

Hints to Teenagers:
1. Appreciate God. God supervised your development in the womb. He is equally supervising your transition to adulthood.
2. Know that your problem is common. At any point in time, there is a generation of adolescents. Otherwise the world would have ceased. Even your parents went through similar experiences that you are going through presently.
3. Face the problem. List the things that are giving you feeling if sadness or gloom. Solve the solvable problems. Accept what you cannot change.
4. Make up for your permanent weaknesses. If you are not physically charming, you can face your studies squarely to attract attention through good academic performance. There are others ways of compensating for what you consider weaknesses. Throw yourself into the service of God and distinguish yourself in it. There are various other ways to make yourself feel real good. Discover more of these. 5. Make good friends. Avoid company of the scornful. Take a friendly disposition.
6. Know that times of being blue and depressed do not last. The unhappy moments might be tough but remember that tough times do not last, tough teenagers do.
